Wood Decking and Siding Maintenance

As most of the materials Thermo-treated Wood fades under the Sun UV. To prevent color changes and surface shakes it is recommended to protect wood color against ultra violet radiation. We recommend a semi-transparent or clear oiling coat, to show the beautiful wood grain of Thermo-treated wood Products. One of the options is to use Hemp Shield penetrating oil.

Because of the wood’s natural state, some boards may check, or crack, more than others. This checking has no effect on the long-term durability of the product, nor does it affect Thermo-treated Products resistance to rot and decay. To enhance the product’s performance against checking we recommend to apply the UV-protection sealant.
